Education for the Masses

Isn't interesting--and appropriate, really--that "Cautioned" is an anagram for "Education?" We must be cautioned against believing education is destined to be the path for only certain segments of the population--the book worms, the nerds, the "smart ones." More concerning is the fact that Latinos, Native Americans, and African-Americans are "not even in the ballpark" when it comes to college attainment. When only a little more than one out of every ten people in these ethnic groups are making it through college, the future does not bode well for these communities. By the way, although the figures below are from the year 2000, little has changed since then. The societal achievement gap continues. . . .
